KINDLY KEEP IT ON THE LOW

Eaves- dropping is terrible, right? Nobody likes eaves droppers. It actually borders immoral if it does not cross the very line. In more developed democracies you can actually be sued for listening in on another person’s conversation. It’s an invasion of privacy.
As much as you would like to stone or lynch a person eaves dropping on your conversation, then you need to ensure you don’t create the opportunity. Don’t twist and curl your toes in anger when you are the one speaking at the top of your voice on your phone. People who need this lesson most are those who choose to answer their phones in matatus. Those angry and high pitched arguments with your caller will just irritate us and make us listen more.

Please do not label us eaves droppers if your in-call volume is loud as a public address system. You know those very irritating phones where you feel like the person on the other end of the line is right next to you. If you do not want us to hear all the nitty gritty of your conversation, then lower it before you ruin your ear drums too.
Have you heard some versions of whispers? It’s called a whisper because we should not even hear it. That juicy piece of gossip attracts like a magnet so kindly forgive our ears for hearing your whisper. Maybe you could just tell it to all of us, huh?
I will not however ignore the fact that some people have developed this very bad habit of listening in. It’s terrible regardless of how private or not the conversation is. If you aren’t welcome to give your two cents, then stay away by all means.
